Sweet Cheeks Skin Salve 2 oz.

This skin-nourishing herbal preparation provides relief for pain and itching from burns, rashes, blisters, insect bites, small cuts, abrasions, eczema, etc. We harvest the herbs by hand, infuse them in virgin Italian olive oil and then combine them in our tried and true formula with local all natural beeswax, to create a soft, easy to apply salve. I developed this 25 years ago to help me heal from a difficult bought with Shingles. The first ingredient, Comfrey (Symphytum officinale), contains a chemical compound called allantoin which is a cell proliferator. The powerful compound increases cell production which accelerates the skins ability to heal and regenerate. The next ingredient, Lemonbalm (Melissa officinalis), is a nervine that relieves pain. Next comes Plantain (Plantago major) which also contains allantoin that speeds the skin's ability to heal. Plantain stops itching or burning from bug bites, rashes, sunburns or shingles. Calendula (Calendula officinalis) is included for it's anti-inflammatory and tissue healing properties. Sage (Salvia officinalis) is included for it's anti-bacterial and wound-healing properties. St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) when used topically, is helpful for wounds, bruises, and muscle pain. Chickweed (Stellaria media) is a cooling plant which we include since it is well-known to relieve rheumatic pain and arthritis. Cottonwood (Populus balsalmifera) is a tree that is native to North America. The leaf buds are harvested in early spring and then infused in oil to extract the powerful resin that is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and anti-oxidant. As a preservative we add Lavender Essential Oil and Vitamin E.
